PR106 / PR47 is a type of long-grain non-Basmati rice. It closely resembles IR 64 rice, butboasts a slightly longer grain size and is primarily consumed in its parboiled form. PR106 ispredominantly cultivated in North India, particularly in the states of Punjab and Haryana.
